Then, Mayor Lou Sekora worked with Ted Rattray of Wastec Management, Robert Mason representing Joe Hussein’s company, Fern Bouvier a citizen heavily involved in arts and culture in Coquitlam, Got together to form Coquitlam – Maillardville Heritage Trust Fund.
The purpose is to Promote and Foster Arts and Culture in the City of Coquitlam. Past Mayor’s Lou Sekora, Jon Kingsbury and Current Mayor Richard Stewart along with several City Councillors if not the majority of them assisted the Arts and Cultural groups to host the Coquitlam Classic up to and now in our 22nd year. |
This is indeed a legacy that has served the Communities Arts and Cultural Programs for Children that need assistance to become involved, that may not have had the opportunity otherwise.
A Huge THANK YOU to all of you who supported our cause over the Past 20 years and hopefully for years to come.
Jon Kingsbury
